Sweater Number - No taped on numbers allowed, Final warning. Helmet Decals - Players that do not have a WCHL helmet decal on display will be asked by the referees to show picture ID, or leave the ice. Scheduled games - Once the schedule has been posted, unless a team has told us in advance about dates to be avoided, Teams must play or forfeit . Note in the playoffs, games will be scheduled and it will be up to the teams to be there, or forfeit. Don't Drink at City Rink! BC Ref. Please be advised that all players must have permanent #'s on jerseys for playoffs!! All referees will be instructed to ensure no player is allowed on the ice with no # or a taped on #. There are only 2 exceptions: 1) If the home team Must change jerseys due to color conflict 2) If a # has become unattached, player must provide # on ice prior to game. NO OTHER EXCEPTIONS Permitted We have been lenient on this rule that has been in place since Dec 1st, however all jerseys must have permanent affixed #'s for playoffs. We have spoken to representatives from Royal Sports both Pembina Hwy and Raleigh locations, Warrens Corner Sports and ProConnexion Linden Ridge Shopping Ctr. and they will all provide #'s for less than $2 per digit. Schedule Update Mgr's Belly Up To The Bar The WCHL would like to thank The Local Pub for hosting the WCHL 2004/05 Managers Meetings. Great Job! Schedules If there are any dates that your team cannot play (weddings, socials, etc.) or specific date you wish to play (team function, fundraiser, etc.) Tell us now! Once the schedule has been put online it shall be considered official. If you do require rescheduling a game later, we can help. The WCHL offers no guarantees that a game can be rescheduled. To all teams that participated in the 2003/04 season, We would like to thank you for your support. It's the teams of the WCHL that make the league a successful, fun place to play competitive hockey.
We have already received calls from new teams, and will be planning our 2004/05 campaign soon. Presently we are working on new ideas to make the WCHL even stronger for the next season. The WCHL is committed to working with teams and players, we invite everyone to send us any thoughts that could make a positive impact for the upcoming season. We wish you all a great summer. John and Rod 2003/04 Champs Crowned Warren's Corner added another championship to their resume, with a 6-3 win vs the Legends in game 3 of the Fort Garry Dark Ale Division. Fort Garry Pale Ale Division won by Panthers 3 games to none over perennial brides maids Pyramid Audio whom fell short for the 3rd straight in year in Division finals Two Rivers Lager Division won with an upset by 4th place Rebels over regular season 1st place Bulldogs. The Wizards broke a long draught, in winning the Two Rivers Stone Cold Division, with a hard fought series vs the Spiders. The Brahma Bulls are the Two Rivers Light Division Champions. As a first time WCHL Champion, they had a tough battle with the first place Woody's. The 2003/04 season closed out with the Fort Garry Frontier Division, as the first and only series to go the full 5 games. Hang Em High won the final over the Puckhogs, with a score of 4-1. The intensity was at an all time high, and the score was not indicative of the play, as game was a close affair. New Commissioner Rosters are due!
