I just received a letter from the City that states "The arena attendant on duty has confirmed that your group was in contravention of the rules of conduct for arenas, specifically: Consumption of alcohol" referencing the February 10 game.

The letter further states:

"This correspondence is serving as a warning to you and your participants that these types of activity are not acceptable in City of Winnipeg arenas. Any future violations of arena rules and regulations will result in the IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF YOUR ICE PRIVILEGES IN ALL CITY ARENAS." The Wizards did not have alcohol in the room on that date and I have contacted the City and he verbally told me that we are not only responsible for our dressing room, but the opposing team as well. We will talk to the rink attendant and find out what he reported on February 10. Needless to say, there should be no beer brought to the dressing room if we are to continue playing hockey. I for one prefer to continue playing as opposed to drinking in the room. As for the other teams actions, we can discuss that tomorrow.
